Tender Service

The MBA introduced a tender service some 18 years ago, first in Port Elizabeth and then also in George and East London.

It is a very elementary service yet very popular with members.  The MBA obtains plans and specifications and Bill of Quantities of contracts in its area of jurisdiction.  These documents are on display in the three branch offices.  All member contractors, subcontractors and merchants are entitled to requisition extracts for pricing from these documents.  The MBA has photostat machines in its three branch offices.

The MBA has a long standing arrangement with the professions and all government and semi-government departments to provide these documents.

Members are advised in the MBA Bulletin when these documents are available.  It is the only service of its kind to the building industry in this area.

Various Bills of Quantities are available for pricing at Association branch offices.
