April Fuel - Middle East Impact

The imminent fuel price hikes largely attributed to the conflict in the Middle East are about to make their impact on the Building Industry with fuel prices, both petrol and diesel, set rise dramatically on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026.

The unforeseen expenses and/or losses related to the surge in global fuel prices could, in many cases, not have been reasonably foreseeable at the tender stage and would therefore most likely not have been provided for in the contract sums of contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers, etc.
