If you employ 50 people or more or have a turnover exceeding R15m then you are a designated employer in terms of the Employment Equity Act and are obliged to prepare and submit an Employment Equity (EE) Plan.

The Employment Equity Amendment Bill which was published in July 2020 is likely to be promulgated and become effective from 1 September 2023.
