Management /Supervisor Training (MDP)

The East Cape Master Builders’ and Allied Association took the initiative sometime back to put together a programme of instruction for Supervisors in the industry.

This course known as the Management Development Programme (MDP) was developed to fill the gap dealing with supervisory skills and is presented by qualified personnel. This course is presented over a fixed period of 5 days for Level 1 and 8 days for Level 2.

For companies that cannot release their employees for such long periods, the MBA has also embarked on a programme which offers selected modules from the MDP course to be done individually subject to  a minimum number of trainees for the one day module.

The modules are developed to address the shortage of site supervisors and ensure that supervisory personnel on building sites are suitably qualified to deal with problems, advise on tasks to be carried out, communicate with site staff, and carry out the supervisory and administrative tasks that are part of supervising a building project.
