Shut-down Safety Tips

It’s that time of the year again where we close our doors and have a lovely break with family and friends.

From us at the MBA we wish you as safe and happy Christmas and a wonderful holiday season ahead. If you are travelling please make sure you drive safely, check your vehicles before hitting the road, make regular stops, stretch your legs and enjoy yourself!!

Please remember that there is a lot of road works ongoing in the Eastern and Southern Cape and special precautions must be taken. Be patient at the road blocks, the construction workers on the road are only doing their jobs, obey road signs, they are there for a reason and please remember SPEED KILLS….

For those leaving their building sites over the holidays there have been appeals for you to back fill excavations, just lightly, for public protection. The cost of doing this is far less than having children falling into your excavations or even having to check up on your barricading throughout the holidays. If you have scaffolding on site, rather take it down and store it, to avoid damage, vandalism or theft. Make sure your sites are secure, the gates are locked and have someone check up on this on a regular basis.

When in an emergency do not phone 10177 for an ambulance, rather phone a private ambulance to ensure better care and timeous arrival. Please save these important numbers into your phone or any other reliable service provider.

ER 24                - 084 124

Gardmed           - 0861 666 777

This year has been a productive and positive one. We want to thank you for all the effort that you have put into safety and we look forward to a better, safer & prosperous 2025.
